Evan Olson Leads Menasha Macs Past Sheboygan A’s

Evan Olson collected three hits in five at bats, as Menasha Macs defeated Sheboygan A’s 4-2 on Monday at Koslo Park, Menasha, WI. Olson hit a solo home run to left field in the third inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Menasha Macs opened the scoring in the bottom of the second thanks to two singles. Menasha Macs first got on the board when Ben Johnston singled, scoring one run.

Menasha Macs scored one run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to left field by Olson.

Owen Ripley earned the win for Menasha Macs. The hurler allowed three hits and one run over six innings, striking out five and walking four. Brad Rindfleisch took the loss for Sheboygan A’s. The pitcher went six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out six and walking one. Jackson Anderson collected the save.

Menasha Macs collected 11 hits in the game. Ayden Kanaman set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Menasha Macs with four hits in five at bats. Johnston collected two hits for Menasha Macs in four at bats. Kanaman stole two bases.

Jimmy Juergensen led the team with one run batted in. Hudson Wagner, Alex Ames, and Nick Tenny each collected one hit for Sheboygan A’s. Connor Lasch led Sheboygan A’s with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game.
