Ryan Csida’s Big Day Propels Menasha Macs Past Greenville Stars

Ryan Csida drove in five runs on two hits to lead Menasha Macs past Greenville Stars 10-7 on Tuesday at Commercial Club Park, Hortonville, WI. Csida hit a grand slam to center field in the sixth inning, scoring four runs, and doubled in the fifth inning, scoring one.

 

Menasha Macs got on the board in the top of the second inning after Jackson Anderson singled down the left field line, and Colton Schwobe grounded out, each scoring one run.

 

Menasha Macs added one run in the third after Evan Olson doubled to center field.

 

Csida hit a grand slam to center field in the top of the sixth for the Menasha Macs.

 

Menasha Macs scored one run in the top of the seventh on a solo home run to right field by Jacob Coopman.

 

Greenville Stars scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the eighth inning. Brock Wolter drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Connor Olson induced Matthew Hietpas to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Turner Kuhnke homered to left field, scoring three runs.

 

Hudson Ludwig led things off on the mound for Menasha Macs. The pitcher gave up three hits and four runs (three earned) over seven and one-third innings, striking out five and walking three. Bo Anderson led things off on the hill for Greenville Stars. The hurler gave up six hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking none. Olson appeared in relief for Menasha Macs.

 

Menasha Macs collected 13 hits in the game. Ayden Kanaman and Coopman each collected three hits for Menasha Macs. Olson and Anderson each collected multiple hits for Menasha Macs. Schwobe paced Menasha Macs with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Anderson stole two bases. Menasha Macs stole four bases in the game. Menasha Macs turned two double plays in the game.

 

Kuhnke led Greenville Stars with three runs batted in. The catcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Kameron Chronis, Brett Sommer, Kuhnke, Gary Wuest, Benny Kiefer, and Hietpas each collected one hit for Greenville Stars. Greenville Stars turned two double plays in the game. Greenville Stars were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Wuest made the most plays with seven.
