Strong Hitting Not Enough As Menasha Macs Falls To Sheboygan A’s

Menasha Macs fell 5-4 to Sheboygan A’s on Friday at Wildwood Park, Sheboygan, WI despite out-hitting them nine to eight. Ayden Kanaman led Menasha Macs with three hits.

 

Sheboygan A’s were the first to get on the board in the first when Connor Lasch singled, scoring one run.

 

Sheboygan A’s added one run in the third. Harry Steldt hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 2-0.

 

Jack Anzelmo homered to left field, scoring two runs in the top of the seventh for the Menasha Macs.

 

Rex Bayer stepped on the mound first for Menasha Macs. The righty allowed eight hits and five runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking one. Joe Richardson started on the mound for Sheboygan A’s. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and two runs over five and one-third innings, striking out eight and walking one.

 

Menasha Macs piled up nine hits in the game. Anzelmo provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Menasha Macs with three runs batted in. The second baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Ryan Csida collected two hits for Menasha Macs in five at bats.

 

Lasch, Nick Tenny, and George Hoss each collected two hits for Sheboygan A’s. Lasch, Alex Ames, Steldt, Chase Hanselman, and Hoss each drove in one run for Sheboygan A’s.
