Macs Loses To Kewaskum A's in Walk off

It came down to the last play, but the Macs were on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Kewaskum A's on Friday. The game was tied at seven with Kewaskum A's batting in the bottom of the thirteenth when Blake Hall singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Menasha lost despite out-hitting Kewaskum A's 16 to ten.

The Macs took an early lead in the fourth inning. Chris Seveska singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

After Menasha scored one run in the top of the eighth, Kewaskum A's answered with one of their own. Menasha scored when Drew Johnson singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. Kewaskum A's then answered when Drake Schreihart tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The Macs scored five runs in the fourth inning. Batters contributing to the big inning included Kyle SchultzSeveskaMichael AltGrant Mullins, and Johnson, all driving in runs in the inning.

Seveska led things off on the mound for Menasha. He allowed three hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Brian BrownAlt, and Mike Berben each contributed in relief for Menasha.

Macs Stays Scrappy In Loss To Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons

The Macs's effort to come back from down eight runs in the sixth inning came up just short, as they fell 10-8 to Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons  on Thursday. Menasha scored six runs in the failed comeback. Michael AltRyan HinskeGrant Mullins, and Steve Marhefke all picked up RBIs in the rally.

Menasha fell behind early in the loss. Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons scored on a wild pitch during Jayden Adrians's at bat and a double by Zach Ziesmer in the first inning.

In the first inning, Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons got their offense started. Sam Marhefke threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons.

Menasha scored four runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught came from a triple by Alt and by Hinske.​

Marhefke took the loss for Menasha. He surrendered six runs on four hits over four innings, striking out eight.

Alt led NEWBL Macs with three hits in six at bats.
